New Age Movement is a unique and vibrant community based theatre which provides drama classes, workshops, drumming training, music, dance and productions for young people with the opportunity for professional development in the performing arts.

Our trainings are designed and led by young people them selves, we encourage young people to develop their ideas with the opportunity to showcase their talents.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Classes last an hour and a half and have no more than 30 members per class. They usually start with a physical and/or vocal warm up and may then contain improvisation, script work, acting exercises, dancing or singing.
Young people are often given the opportunity to create short performance pieces of their own.
FEES
Each class cost £45 per half term (£38 unwaged or if more than one child from the same family attends)
Classes run 2 evening after school, from 6pm and from 1pm on Saturdays.

You need to register to be able attend all our classes, excellent attitude and commitment is the key recruitment criteria.
A place at NAM is available to all on a first come, first served basis. All you need to do is to sign up. You will soon be able to do this online. However, in the meantime we would ask that you pop in and see us anytime between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday at

All you need to do is fill in the form. You will be given a reference number which you need to keep safe. As soon as a place comes up we will get in touch with you. Once you have been offered a place there is a one off £10 registration fee.
Here at the New Age Movement we regularly mount large scale productions for a variety of age groups, including an annual performance for Black History Month, the nationwide festival of theatre for young people by leading contemporary dramatists.
All our productions are led by a professional team of directors, designers, composers and stage managers and are open to the general public.
Auditions are open to non members so keep an eye on the news section for details of forthcoming shows.
