Life Changers Foundation COVID-19 September Update

The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown did have a significant effect on majority of our beneficiaries and as a foundation we struggled to cope with the daily increase in demand for support.

Life Changers Foundation’s day-to-day operation transformed considerably as we had to focus our efforts on the COVID19 response in terms of food allocation services. Our focus moved toward the provision of food stuff and essential hygiene household items.

We have been privileged to work with various BAME communities, although majority of our beneficiaries have been mainly from the African Caribbean community, we have had an increasing demand from the Nepalese community as well. Thanks to the funding received from London Respond Fund, our financial burden was eased as we were able to purchase more food items and household items which were made available to people in need.

Thoughts for those affected by COVID-19

It is quite unfortunate that some of our beneficiaries including volunteers were affected by COVID-19, some sadly lost their family member, some lost their jobs, while some small businesses struggled and still struggling to survive. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by COVID-19 and we continue to pray for those affected to recover from the trauma they have experienced and a speedy recovery of our economy, so that people can have their full life back as things begin to go back to the normality as we knew it.

Life Changers Foundation post COVID-19

We wanted to give you an update and the highlights on what to expect from Life Changers Foundation, moving forward. All our training and services will be delivered virtually (online) rather than face to face. Trainings and workshops will be delivered via ZOOM, Facebook Live and Instagram, while other support will be offered via telephone; there will be no face to face contact.  

Our online training session will include:

3. Job Application
4. Interview Techniques
5. Job Search Skills
6. Business Startup

We will continue to run the Food Relief Project until the end of October 2020, subject to funding we might be able to push this till the end of December 2020.

We will continue to post updates on our website and social media feeds on how Life Changers Foundation is dealing with COVID-19 in each of our services.
